Julio Iglesias, born on September 23, 1943, is a legendary Spanish singer and songwriter regarded as the most commercially successful Spanish artist in history. He has sold over 300 million records worldwide in 14 languages and performed in more than 5,000 concerts for over 60 million people across five continents. Iglesias holds the distinction of recording songs in the most languages, and is recognized as the best-selling male Latin artist of all time. His global appeal is reflected in his status as the most successful foreign record seller in countries such as Brazil, France, and Italy, and as the top-selling artist in Spanish history. Throughout his illustrious career, Iglesias has received numerous prestigious awards, including the Grammy and Latin Grammy, World Music Award and American Music Award. He was inducted into the Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2013, has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and has been honored by Spain and France for his contributions to the arts. In 1989, UNICEF appointed him Special Ambassador for the Performing Arts.
