Rack-mountable 16-in/8-out audio interface for Mac, Windows and iPad with 8 ultra-HDDA (High Definition Discrete Architecture) microphone preamps that provides clear sound quality and advanced features. Out of 8 line inputs, two are switchable to instrument level for direct guitar or bass recording, while two of balanced line outputs feature a level control on the front panel for monitoring. Eight XLR mic inputs have switchable +48 V phantom power to use with condenser microphone. Ultra-HDDA preamps deliver the cleanest and quietest operation in their class while delivering up to 56 dB of gain – ideal for any type of microphone (ribbon, condenser, dynamic). They also achieve EIN rating of -125 dBu, meaning their noise level is practically below the range of hearing. Interface also features a DSP mixer for low-latency digital mixing, powered by an Analog Devices BlackFin DSP processor, that provides each input with 4-band EQ, a low cut filter, and a compressor. Mac and Windows drivers are provided, as well as USB Class Compliant 2.0 drivers for tablets like Apple's iPad. MIDI input and output are also available on the rear panel. All inputs can be used simultaneously for 16-track live recordings, and, in addition to interface mode, it can be used as a standalone mic preamp.
