Toto is a renowned American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1977. Blending pop, rock, soul, funk, blues, R and B, hard rock, and jazz, the group became known for their musicianship and distinctive sound. With hits like Hold the Line, Africa, and Rosanna, Toto achieved international fame in the late 1970s and early 1980s, earning several Grammy Awards and selling over 50 million records worldwide. Over the decades, the band has released fourteen studio albums and maintained a devoted global following. Guitarist Steve Lukather remains the last original member actively touring, while Toto continues to perform with a mix of longtime members and touring musicians. The band was inducted into the Musicians Hall of Fame in 2009, and as of 2024 continues to tour, most recently with the Dogz of Oz Tour.
