For The WG2X is a follow-up to the WG2 but features an angled motor arm that leaves the camera LCD unobstructed. Also weighs slightly less and has a shutter button and mode button at the base in addition to a power on/off switch. The payload is 130 g.

The gimbal is designed to be splash-proof, for misty weather conditions. It can be mounted on your person, such as on a helmet or chest support, and also on remote supports such as a desktop tripod. It also works great in balancing the camera when attached to handlebars and selfie sticks. It attaches via a 1/4" threaded mounting hole on the bottom. It is built with three motors that allow for unlimited 360° pan, 360° tilt, and 70° roll angle motion.

One of the selectable modes of operation is an autorotation mode that allows you to assign a pre-set travel route with start and end points and a constant speed. This mode can be used for automated standard video capture as well as effective time-lapse photography. The mode button at the base toggles between the multiple modes of the gimbal, such as pan, tilt, and lock. An LED indicator at the base confirms the selected mode.

The WG2X operates on a built-in 1500mAh battery that runs for approximately 2.5 hours and can be recharged in about 2 hours. Also included with the gimbal (as a free download) is the Feiyu ON mobile app for iOS and Android. The app allows for remote operation of the gimbal from your phone, as well as adjustment of settings. The WG2X folds and packs away compact into a supplied carry bag.
