Days of the New was an American rock band formed in 1995 in Charlestown, Indiana before relocating to Louisville, Kentucky. Led by vocalist and guitarist Travis Meeks, the band gained recognition for their acoustic-driven post-grunge sound and hit singles like Touch, Peel and Stand, The Down Town, Shelf in the Room, and Enemy, with Touch, Peel and Stand named Greatest of All-Time Mainstream Rock Song by Billboard. Their debut album, released in 1997, is known for its raw acoustic style and featured Meeks alongside Jesse Vest, Todd Whitener, and Matt Taul, who later formed Tantric. Over the years, Days of the New included several notable members, including Nicole Scherzinger, Mike Starr, and Charlie Colin. The band released three self-titled albums, commonly referred to by their cover colors: Yellow, Green, and Red.
