Donald Fagen is an American singer-songwriter and musician best known as the co-founder, lead singer, and keyboardist of Steely Dan, the influential rock band he formed in the early 1970s with Walter Becker. Renowned for their sophisticated sound and sharp lyrics, Steely Dan became a major force in rock music. Fagen has also released four solo albums, starting with the critically acclaimed The Nightfly in 1982. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with Steely Dan in 2001. After Becker’s passing in 2017, Fagen has continued to perform under the Steely Dan name.
