Fermata is a Slovak jazz rock band founded in 1973 and still active today. Known mainly for their instrumental music, they have released eleven studio albums and one live album. Throughout their long career, the band has experienced several lineup changes and creative pauses. Although they focus on instrumental compositions, a few songs feature vocals by artists such as Miroslav Žbirka, Peter Vašek, František Griglák, Juraj Bartovič, Pavol Horváth, Pavol Hammel and John T Dale.
