Firespawn is a Swedish death metal band from Stockholm, formed in 2012 by Alex Impaler of Necrophobic, together with Lars-Göran Petrov and Victor Brandt from Entombed A D. Initially named Fireborn, the group set out to create faster and heavier death metal than their previous projects. The lineup was completed with guitarist Fredrik Folkare, known for his work with Unleashed and Necrophobic, and drummer Matte Modin from Defleshed. Their debut single Lucifer Has Spoken appeared in 2015, followed by their first full-length album Shadow Realms later that year, showcasing intense songwriting and powerful lyrics. The band continued to push boundaries with The Reprobate in 2017 and Abominate in 2019, both released through Century Media. After the passing of vocalist Lars-Göran Petrov in 2021, Firespawn announced their return in 2025, with Jörgen Sandström stepping in as the new vocalist.
