Hopkin Instrumentarium: Handsome Dan by Soundiron is an experimental virtual instrument library for Kontakt, featuring a unique stringed zither with a twist. Created by master instrument inventor Bart Hopkin, this handcrafted instrument has 14 strings, divided by a center bridge into two segments. A magnetic pickup on one side captures harmonic resonances from the unplayed strings, producing a dreamy, ethereal tone with a floating, swelling presence.
