The Knack was an American power pop band formed in Los Angeles in 1978 by Doug Fieger, Berton Averre, Prescott Niles, and Bruce Gary. They rose to fame with their hit single "My Sharona" and their debut album "Get the Knack," which topped charts internationally. Although later albums did not match their initial success, the band reunited several times and released more albums, including "Serious Fun," "Zoom," and "Normal as the Next Guy." The Knack disbanded permanently after Fieger's death in 2010. Their last studio release was "Rock and Roll Is Good for You: The Fieger Averre Demos" in 2012.
