Modelling electric guitar with single cutaway from James Tyler Variax series with special electronics connected to the Variax Workbench HD software that allows user to expand the borders of the sound or design own unique sound. The whole body of the instrument is made of high-quality mahogany wood with a flame maple top, while the set-in mahogany neck with Tyler ’59 profile is fitted with rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets. Scale length is 624 mm, nut width is 42.9 mm. The instrument is further equipped with a wraparound Tyler-designed bridge and two specially designed vintage-style humbucker pickups with Alnico magnets. Settings and pattern of the pickups can be adjusted by Variax Workbench HD software that allows for changing the sound of the guitar, its tuning or volume, tuning of each string, pickup position, and many other settings. The guitar is also equipped with Volume and Tone controls, Guitar Model and Alt Tune selectors, a 3-position pickup switch, a VDI (Variax Digital Interface) connector for direct connection with Line6 POD HD multi-effects processor, and closed tuners. Without the battery power, the guitar works as any standard electric guitar with passive electronics.
