Designed for guitarists who demand maximum tonal flexibility from a single distortion pedal, the Walrus Audio Eras Five-State Distortion offers five individually voiced distortion modes via a rotary switch. From tight, focused lead tones to wide, scooped rhythm sounds, the Eras covers an enormous range of distortion flavors. A Blend knob for parallel dry/wet mixing and a two-band EQ with independent Bass and Treble boost/cut controls complete the feature set.

Five Distortion Modes

The rotary switch selects from five distinct clipping configurations: State I delivers tight LED hard clipping for a precise, cutting lead tone; State II offers tight silicon hard clipping for a slightly warmer, focused sound; State III combines silicon and LED clipping for a balanced, versatile distortion; State IV provides a rhythm-oriented LED sound with scooped mids for a wide, open character; and State V uses warm silicon clipping for a full, rich rhythm tone.

EQ and Blend Controls

The independent Bass and Treble controls allow precise shaping of low and high frequencies with both boost and cut capability, adapting the Eras to different playing styles and amplifier configurations. The Blend knob mixes the dry signal in parallel, preserving the natural dynamics and attack of the instrument even at extreme distortion settings.
